August 9th - Bye Bye Slovenia / Hello Italy

The night was short ! Unlucky, we set up the tent close to drunk young Germans..You know what i mean!!! Anyway waking up with this view makes us forget about last night !

Bled lake is located in the Julian Alps. The lake is of mixed glacial and tectonic origins. It is seriously picturesque environment, surrounded by mountains and forest.

We took these picture early morning and hit the road...Today will be an awesome ride, only mountain roads...Yeahhhhh

After a huge Slovenian breakfast where were ready to take corners. Its going to be a lot today...The ride was just awesome, forest, small village and motorbikes  everywhere...Paradise !

We crossed Slovenia with only national roads until Udine...Welcome to Italy !

We stopped for a quick drink in this old town. Not very busy but pretty nice city...

Our plan is to reach Venice this afternoon, so lets make it happen...

The way until Venice was a bit boring on the highways but at least quick (no traffic jam on 2 wheels). It was 1pm when we parked the bike at the entrance of the city.

Venice is super nice. We were expecting bad smell, tourists everywhere but surprisingly, not at all...We enjoyed walking down the small cute and historical streets. No we did not ride a Gondola, it was too romantic for us hahah but we had a good lunch...

Time for us to say bye-bye to Venice and find an accommodation for tonight. 

Venice is over price and not convenient (you have to carry your luggage until the hotel). So not very motorbike friendly. 

Nicolas is also planning to leave tomorrow and ride until Paris, so we thought Garda lake will be a good splitting point for our adventure. We jumped into the highway and ride until the lake.

Of course accommodation were full and we have to camp. Our last camping together ! 

We reached the Camping at 8pm and went straight for our last diner. And guess what, yes we found an Italian restaurant own by Chinese...Cannot be better for our last diner ! China Souvenir hehe 

Tonight my riding buddy will leave, so lets have some Qingdao beer lol.
