February 12th / D-60 Bikes upgrades

Nicolas and myself are riders but not totally expert in mechanic, so we found a motorbike Coach ;)

 

Ronan is teaching us different aspects from the engine until electronic issue and also maintenance.

The most difficult problem on recent bikes are electronic. Our bikes are full of fuse, cables, generators, CPU, and so on...

So lets cross finger, we are not burning our CPU in the middle of Tajikistan..

 

Thanks to our friend David (BMW motorbike dealer) for using his garage. Not easy to find professional work shop in Shanghai to knock up our bikes. Even if its very difficult to work in the middle of lots of BMW GS blazing new.


Kawa VS Benelli


Bikes are made differently of course, but Nico and my self are also trying to learn to work on the bike of each others. We are a team and we will drive more than 20,000KM together, so better knowing our bikes by heart.

 

Workshop allow us to take off all parts and try to see whats going on below and see status of each pieces.

We are also setting up different equipment, lights, protection, wind screen, extra fuel tank, filters ...
